There’s something incredibly special about extended family sessions. I had the honor of meeting this family at their cherished property on the Frio River in Concan, Texas... a place that has been in their family for generations. Being welcomed into their space with open arms, listening to their stories, and sharing in their laughter made the session feel so personal and meaningful.

With extended families, my goal is always to strike a balance between guided group portraits and candid moments. We started with the classic groupings. Everyone together, individual family units, grandparents with grandchildren that everyone could relax knowing those “must-have” shots were taken care of. From there, I let things unfold naturally.
